Patriot Ancestor: Vachel Hinton - Virginia Rangers

Vachel Hinton was the son of THOMAS and RACHEL (HOWARD) HINTON. He served in Ensign William Colvin's Company of Virginia Rangers under Colonel Henry Bouquet's campaign and was stationed at Redstone, Va. He appeared on the muster roll January 17, 1778. He served until he was legally discharged.

Hinton, a widower, moved to Mason County, Kentucky, between 1793 and 1796. He married Ms. Nancy Roy November 20, 1796. He fathered 13 children. He died on his 95-acre farm on the Waters of Fleming in Fleming County, KY. His will was probated 4 July 1825.
